MIFEPREX - 200mg

Take 1 Mifeprex- Mifepristone kit by mouth. Your healthcare provider will either give you or prescribe for you 4 misoprostol tablets 24 to 48 hours later (the area between your teeth and cheek ) for 30 minutes and then swallow anything leftover with a drink of water.

Precautions Before taking Mifeprex- Mifepristone kit :

• Have a pregnancy of more than 70 days (10 weeks).
• Are using an IUD (intrauterine device or system).
• Have you had an ectopic pregnancy.
• Have problems with your adrenal glands.
• Taking medicine to thin your blood.
• Have any bleeding problems.
• Have porphyria.
• Taking certain steroid medicines.
• Are you allergic to mifepristone, misoprostol, or other prostaglandins?

It cannot be used in cases of confirmed or suspected ectopic pregnancy as it is not effective for terminating those pregnancies. In another case If you are using an IUD, it must be taken out before you take Mifeprex.

Side effects of Mifeprex- Mifepristone kit :

• Diarrhea
• Vomiting
• Nausea
• cramping
• pain in the lower abdomen
• mild fever
• dizziness

After taking Mifeprex and Misoprostol, you can expect the pregnancy to pass from your uterus within 2 to 24 hours. During this time, you will experience bleeding and cramping, likely heavier than your usual period. It's important to know that about 2 to 7 out of 100 women may need a follow-up procedure, like a surgical abortion, to ensure the process is complete or to address any complications. Make sure to stay in touch with your healthcare provider, who can support you and answer any questions you may have during this process.

What happens if I miss a dose?

Mifeprex is used as a single dose and does not have a daily dosing schedule.

Call your doctor for instructions if you miss any follow-up appointment.

What should I avoid after taking Mifeprex?

Follow your doctor’s instructions about any restrictions on food, beverages, or activity.

• Grapefruit and grapefruit juice can make it harder for your body to metabolize Mifeprex. Avoid the use of grapefruit products shortly before or after taking Mifeprex.
• Do not drink, smoke and take any kind of harmful drug before and after taking the Mifeprex.
